WARNING:  Commercial fraud in the recycling industry - fake BIR membership certificates

It has come to the attention of BIR that dubious individuals take on the identity of well-established companies and use spurious documents - including forged certificates - which falsely claim BIR membership in an attempt to deceive innocent trading partners.

Before entering a business transaction, we urge you to check the validity of their BIR membership and in case of doubt contact BIR at: bir@bir.org
