BIR publications: Annual Report 2017 and 9th edition of World Steel Recycling in Figures to be published at Barcelona Convention

Two of BIR’s core publications are set to be released at the upcoming World Recycling Convention in Barcelona.

The BIR Annual Report 2017 will provide a unique overview of the most important developments on the different commodity markets in 2017, offering a wealth of data regarding material flows, prices and future trends. Moreover, the BIR commodity divisions and committees will highlight their actions on behalf of their respective industry segment. Important trade and environmental issues are covered in the reports of the International Environment Council and the International Trade Council and a special case study sheds the light on the success of BIR’s two far-away event in China and India.

The ninth edition of World Steel Recycling in Figures covers the five-year period from 2013 to 2017 and has been prepared with great care by BIR statistics advisor Rolf Willeke, who will be presenting the main findings during the plenary meeting of the Ferrous Division in Barcelona on Tuesday, 29 May at 9am. World Steel Recycling in Figures remains the only global statistical series on ferrous scrap and provides a unique picture of this valuable internationally traded commodity.
