BIR World Recycling Convention (Round-Table Sessions) Prague, (25) 26-27 October 2015:
Stainless Steel & Special Alloys Committee: Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? Dr Gerhard Pariser to provide expert forecast
As current market conditions remain bleak, the scrap industry is eager to know if the difficult times will be over any time soon. The BIR Stainless Steel & Special Alloys Committee under the chairmanship of Joost van Kleef of Oryx Stainless BV (The Netherlands) has asked a senior representative of one of the most widely known market research companies to share with delegates in Prague the possible outlook for the beginning of 2016.
On Tuesday, 27 October at 11.00, participants at the 2015 BIR World Recycling Convention will be listening to the guest presentation of Dr. Gerhard Pariser, senior consultant at Heinz H. Pariser Alloy Metals & Steel Market Research, Germany. “Stainless Steel & Nickel – Everything Better the Next Year?” will provide an expert analysis of the trends on the nickel and stainless steel markets in the coming months.
Dr. Gerhard Pariser is a director at the Market Research division of Heinz H. Pariser Alloy Metals & Steel Market Research. The company was founded in 1981 and since then has been active in the fields of Stainless Steels, Alloy Steels, Nickel Base Alloys and the raw materials Nickel, Chromium, Molybdenum and Stainless Scrap. Before joining the company, Dr. Gerhard Pariser was a technical customer consultant at Salzgitter Flachstahl – Germany’s second largest Flat Carbon Steel producer – where he was responsible for hot dipped galvanized steels. He is a metallurgical engineer by profession and holds a PhD in metallurgy and materials technology of the RWTH Aachen University, where he worked as scientific researcher.
The board members of the Stainless Steel & Special Alloys Committee will also provide attending delegates with an overview of the situation on the different world markets, which will be made available in the printed version of the Committee’s quarterly publication BIR World Mirror on Stainless Steel & Special Alloys.
