Global Recycling Day - New Manifesto  calls on world to wake up to the power of the Seventh Resource

With less than 100 days till the first Global Recycling Day on 18 March 2018, we have been hard at work to bring it to reality.

Our website is now fully operational and looking very attractive.  We have added a new media resources section, complete with a host of tools and downloads for you to use to help spread the word about GRD.

Our social media presence is growing. We have nearly 2,000 followers across all our platforms, with Twitter really starting to gain pace.  If you have not liked or followed us yet you can do so here and here.

Global Recycling Day’s Manifesto – the lens through which our message is being communicated across the planet -  was launched on 12th December 2017 to influential international and trade media, with a much wider distribution in different countries starting in January 2018.   You can find the Manifesto on the GRD website here.

Our Manifesto will be shared with policy leaders around the globe as well as international print, digital and broadcast media to raise awareness of Global Recycling Day and the crucial role of recycling. We call for urgent action to put our planet first, and showcase the power of the work our industry does.

On the website you will  also find logos to use in your email signature, our press pack and a Q&A to tell the media (or anybody else who is interested) all they need to know about Global Recycling Day. You will also find our original brochure on how we are uniting the world’s approach to recycling, as well as three infographics, one with historical facts on recycling, a set of seven questions to challenge consumers’ habits and knowledge, and finally a set of seven questions to challenge world leaders’ policies to recycling, which you will find here.

And last but not least we would like to remind you of all the advantages that come with the Founding Sponsor package, which is only and exclusively available before the launch of the first GRD.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Thank you for your participation, and best wishes,

Ranjit S. Baxi, BIR President
