BIR World Recycling Convention & Exhibition in Hong Kong (22 - 24 May 2017)
Hong Kong government officials speak at BIR ITC and IEC meetings
We are pleased to announce that officials from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China (HKSAR) have accepted our invitation to speak at the meeting s of the International Trade Council and the International Environment Council.
On Monday, 22 May 2017 at 14.30 the International Trade Council under the chairmanship of Michael Lion of Everwell Resources will welcome Mr Hon-Meng Wong, Assistant Director (Waste Reduction & Recycling) of the HKSAR Environment Protection Department. Mr Wong will be giving a presentation on “Waste recycling in Hong Kong”.
Mr Gary Tam is Senior Environmental Protection Officer at the Environmental Protection Department, Environmental Compliance Division of the HKSAR Environment Protection Department. He will take the floor during the plenary meeting of the International Environment Council on Wednesday, 24 May 2017 at 13.30. Under the chairmanship of Olivier François of Galloo Mr Tam will share his expertise on “Hong Kong’s current import/export controls on the scrap trade, with a focus on the e-waste trade and the WEEE control scheme rolled out later this year”.
