Varied programme covers the future of the Japanese paper industry and  a panel discussion on the importance of sea freight

The BIR Paper Division under the presidency of Reinhold Schmidt of Karla Schmidt Recycling (Germany) offers attendees a very varied programme with interesting guest presentations and panel discussions.

On Tuesday, 23 May 2017 at 16.30, Mr Nobuyuki Shiose, CEO of Daiwa-Shiryo Co., Ltd., Osaka (Japan) will take the floor to speak about “The Future of the Japanese Recovered Paper Industry against the Background of Worldwide Recovered Paper Streams” (the presentation will be given in German).

The guest presentation will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Martijn Reintjes, Chief Editor of Recycling International on the topic “Sea Freight Increases, Quality Issues, Growth in Demand, unstable Prices – what is the Future that lies ahead?”. Panelists include Nobuyuki Shiose, Daiwa-Shiryo Co., Ltd, Dominique Maguin, La Compagnie Des Matières Premières (France), Ranjit Singh Baxi, J&H Sales International Ltd (United Kingdom), and Brian Tailor, Recycling Today (USA).

The plenary session will also feature market reports on Asia and Europe with updates from the latest BIR Paper Mirror that will be distributed in the meeting room.
