Upcoming Miami Convention: Latest update on registration figures and programme

Registration for the upcoming BIR World Recycling Convention & Exhibition in Miami (1-4 June 2014) is gaining momentum with still 6 weeks to go. Over 600 delegates and around 200 accompanying persons have confirmed their participation to date, and we expect an overall turnout of over 1000 participants for our Latin America-focused event.

Due to technical problems, the attendance list available for BIR Gold members had unfortunately not been properly updated and did not reflect the latest participants count. This has now been corrected. Please also note that the list does not include pending registrations.

BIR is offering a highly topical programme with, amongst others:

  • Keynote Speaker Jason Schenker of Prestige Economics and his presentation on “Where the global economy and recycling intersect: Shining a light on the future of recycling”
  • Two high-profile speakers in the Ferrous Division plenary meeting from leading consultancies Wood Mackenzie and Metal Strategies
  • The first-ever International Textiles Recycling Summit
  • A ‘Leading Expert Talk’ on Future of Plastics Recycling
  • A special focus on Latin America within the Non-Ferrous Metals Division
  • A unique insight into the global stainless steel market with presentations from representatives of the two top international scrap processors and suppliers ELG and Cronimet
  • An international recycling exhibition with over 30 key machine and equipment producers and service providers
