LMEChief Executive Martin Abbott

tospeak at BIR Non-Ferrous Division plenary session

MartinAbbott, Chief Executive of the London Metal Exchange, will be givinga guest presentation at the plenary session of the BIR Non FerrousMetals Division on Tuesday, 3 June 2008, in the framework of the 2008World Recycling Convention & Exhibition in Monte Carlo.

Itis the first time that Mr Abbott will be speaking at a BIRConvention, and his comments on the LME as the world’s foremostmetals exchange as well as his analysis of the markets promise to beof highly topical value.

MrAbbott has been in his current position since October 2006. Prior tohis appointment at the LME, he was President and Publisher, AMM LLCand Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Metals, Minerals and MiningDivision of Metal Bulletin PLC. He also worked for LME ring-dealingmembers AMT and Sogemin and spent 3 years with the LME from 1990 to1993.

Duringthe plenary session of the Non-Ferrous Metals Division, there willalso be a round-table discussion involving major consumers fromvarious parts of the world to assess the major changes that affectedtheir business. A separate press release will inform you of thecomposition of the panel.
