We are pleased to present the April edition of the Stainless Steel & Special Alloys World Mirror. Since the previous publication and our Autumn Conference, we have all experienced the severe downturn in the markets. In this edition, we hope to provide an up-to-date picture of the stainless steel market, together with our latest forecast for 2009. Obviously, in such a turbulent market, these forecasts will need to be continually updated.

Meanwhile, we look forward to meeting up with you in Dubai, where I am pleased to confirm that our guest speaker will be George Adcock from the LME. George will not only be discussing the nickel position but he will also update us on the progress of placing molybdenum and cobalt on the Exchange. He will no doubt also be commenting on the rumours regarding the placing of stainless steel on the Exchange.
