BIR has just been informed that following its various initiatives DGFT has changed its notification No. 163 (RE-2008)/2004-09 as follows:

Instead of the original sales contract, importer and exporter must submit a separate contract which merely states that the consignment does not contain any types of arms, ammunitions, mines, shells, cartridges, radioactive elements or any other explosive material.

In consequence, business confidentiality is preserved.
