News from Basel Convention:
Household Waste Partnership Working Group convenes in Trinidad

Mr Ross Bartley is currently representing BIR in the working group and actively contributes to the authoring of the draft "Overall Guidance on the Environmentally Sound Management of Household Waste". The Guidance includes amongst others modules on finance, on reuse and on recycling to which Mr Bartley is giving his input on behalf of the recycling industry.

As the Conference of the Parties of the Basel Convention decided that the Guidance should be provided to the Parties by October, the working group has put its focus on this document.
