Adam Minter, Freelance Columnist & Journalist lives in Kuala Lumpur, where he writes a column on Asia, technology, and business for Bloomberg View.

In addition to his work with Bloomberg, Adam has covered the global scrap metal trade for 15 years, writing for publications ranging from Scrap to Recycling International to the Wall Street Journal.

His first book, "Junkyard Planet: Travels in the Billion Dollar Trash Trade" is a critically-acclaimed and best-selling account of the global scrap trade. He is currently at work on a book about the secondhand goods trade.
